The Start of My Mac Lipstick Collection

I didn't used to be too into MAC products for some strange reason, but lately I've become addicted and have a lengthy list of products that I'm hoping to one day make mine.

Here's the start of my lipstick collection so far...

First, is Rebel which is a Satin.

Rebel is such a perfect colour for fall! It's a deep purple berry-wine-like colour I would say.

Second, is Viva Glam Nicki A53 which is also a Satin.

This is gorgeous! It's a bright coraly pink, and I'm sorry this picture turned out so terribly.. I have the matching lipgloss and they look amazing layered together.

Third, is Chatterbox which is an Amplified.

This is a nice bright pink, but with a cooler undertone. I love it, but I haven't worn it too much yet as I've been gravitating to light, nude, or dark lips this fall.

Finally, and my favourite, is Angel which is a Frost.

This is such a pretty pink! Very light and natural and kind. Sort of a nudey-pink. LOVE this.

And now, for Swatches...

Top-Bottom: Rebel, Viva Glam Nicki, Chatterbox, Angel

What are your favourites? Any colour suggestions for me?

Compare & Contrast: Benefit's Birthday Suit vs Maybelline's Bad To The Bronze

I recently purchased Benefit's Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Birthday Suit and took it home only to realize it was quite similar to the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze.

First of all... how cute is the new packaging of these?!

They aren't as similar as I had initially thought which I was pleased with as I had accidentally buying dupes. The Color Tattoo is definitely more bronze (with some coppery color in there) and more pigmented, whereas the Creaseless Cream Shadow is a lighter and more natural looking and more of a chrome.

Benefit's shadow is creamier and smoother to apply.

I definitely love them both though. Great on their own, with another eyeshadow or as a base!

What do you think?
